I. Brief History of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
In the early days of the internet a website only needed content to be found on the internet. The more content the website had the better and search engine rankings were often based on keywords that sometimes were repeated redundantly in order to achieve higher rankings in the search results. When Google emerged as the lead search engine, they recognized how search engines were being ‘gamed’ to achieve higher rankings. Google then began to establish criteria for websites they felt best represented the search results given to the end user.
So…..How do we put together a website in 2012?
